HyperNodes can monitor directly some environment parameters out-of-the-box.

HyperNodes can signal the HyperManage centre if they are running on battery or on mains, so from this it can be easily deducted if there’s a mains shortage in the HyperNode’s location.

Another feature available natively is the possibility for the HyperNode to communicate in which way it is connected to the HyperManage centre (naturally available if the node has a secondary path to reach the HyperManage centre): through this it is possible to know if the primary connectivity path is out of order, that many times means that the main router on HyperNode’s location needs some maintenance.

Using external probes, described in details in the following pages, it is possible to monitor many environmental parameters and perform automatic actions when some conditions are met. For example a fan can be activated when the temperature raises over a given value, and can be automatically turned off when the temperature is again under control.

External probes can be connected on the BUS interface of the HyperNode in different ways, as detailed in the Bus Technology section.
