SmallPowerPlug is an optional external probe for HyperNodes that permits to remotely control a relay switch and to analyze  some parameters of the electric line. In the following picture you can see the SmallPowerPlug unit, with available features:

Apart from remotely control the power status of the connected device, SmallPowerPlug is capable to analyze the following values of the overpassing mains power:

• Peak AC Voltage in
• RMS AC Voltage in
• Peak AC Current absorbed by the load
• RMS AC Current absorbed by the load
• Peak AC Active power absorbed by the load
• RMS AC Active power absorbed by the load
• Peak AC Reactive power absorbed by the load
• RMS AC Reactive power absorbed by the load
• Peak AC Apparent power absorbed by the load
• RMS AC Apparent power absorbed by the load
• Harmonic AC Active Power absorbed by the load
• Fundamental AC Active Power absorbed by the load
• AC Power factor, cos (φ), of the line
• AC Line frequency

The following measures will be available in the near future:

• AC Voltage sags, swells, micro-interruptions and interruptions
• AC Overcurrent detections
• AC Waveform sampling

On listed parameters it is possible to program a Monitoring applications that can generate alarms or collect data coming from any probe feature. More features can be monitored in the same time and alarming can be triggered based on an OR or AND relation between conditions.

Automatic reactions can be set inside the monitoring application, to activate/deactivate some control features: for example the device can be turned off if it is absorbing too much power or if the incoming voltage is higher of a specific threshold.

Collected data can be stored in the HyperManage's Database and can be inspected on demands, producing also interactive graphs.
