MultiProbe is an optional external probe for HyperNodes that permits to connect some sensors to monitor the external environment. In the following picture you can see the MultiProbe unit, with available features:

MultiProbe provides the following features:

    • Monitoring of up to 8 on/off contacts: permits to connect contact sensors, smoke sensors, level sensors, on/off relays (for example to monitor UPS status)
    • Possibility to connect and monitor values coming from up to 2 analog temperature sensors or digital temperature + humidity sensors
    • Possibility to drive up to 2 external relays: permits to drive both external on/off relays or PWM (Pulse-Width Modulation) devices
    • Possibility to monitor the following parameters of an incoming line:
        • Peak AC Voltage
        • RMS AC Voltage
        • AC Line Frequency

Also on MultiProbe it is possible to set some events to monitor values collected by different feature and react on desired conditions. More conditions can be evaluated in the same event on AND or OR basis and can be set on mixed features coming from different probes.

When an event is met, automatic reactions can be performed on driven probe’s features. For example it is possible to power on a device connected to a SmallPowerPlug when the temperature detected by a MultiProbe is higher than a given threshold.

As for any other monitoring applications inside an HyperNode, it is possible to associate an event to an alarm class, and set email, SMS, SNMP notifications from the HyperServer.

Eventually, on all available features it is possible to activate data collection to inspect sampled data from the HyperManage's WEB interface, export them to external application or create interactive graphs.
